The West Middlesex offer a variety of medium paced rides in the Thames Valley and Chilterns. Join us for a chance to explore the quiet lanes and back roads of Berkshire, Hertfordshire, Middlesex and Surrey

The West Middx Section caters for regular cyclists who wish to socialise with others when out for a ride. If you cycle five miles or more each day say to work, or go for a ten mile spin a couple of times a week? You will be fit enough to ride with us.

We mostly ride on Sundays, normally  meeting at Ickenham "pump", start time usually 9AM for 9.15 AM start, returning home about 5pm or dusk whichever is the earlier. If there's no ride advertised , then please take a look at the Uxbridge Loiterers website. They organise a variety of rides on a Sunday of varying speeds and distances

It is sensible to carry lights for the months of October through to February. Most rides stop at a cafe for mid morning coffee etc. and lunch is usually obtained in a pub or cafe. Depending on weather and mood of the riders we may stop for tea.

If it's the first time you are riding with us and you're not sure how long you can manage,  we will organise a "buddy arrangement" where one our established riders will ride home with you if you find the ride is becoming to long. All rides have a leader who ensures that the group does not get lost and helps out with anyone who may have a problem with their bike. If you fancy joining us for the first time, contact any of the leaders, to see which rides are  suitable.

See our rides page for up to date news on next ride and complete downloadable rides list.
